2010 Bands

Fake Imposters features a rotating roster of students who belong to Carman Collegiate's new rock band program. They perform a mixture of classic and alternative rock. Members include: Angus May, Colin Hay, Taran McCulloch, Evan Dracass and Jeremy Stevenson. The group is backed by a team of students charged with sound and technical duties (Ryan Coss) and promotion (Jenaya Mackinnon, Laura Jonasson, Jessica Rutter, Monique Payette, and Sam Dracass). These students will also be helping to facilitate Band Aid this year.

Free Kittens formed six days before a battle of the bands in St. Claude, Manitoba in late October of 2008. Consisting of Joel VanKoughnet, Jurgen Kaminski, Alex Robinson, and Sam Tomlin, Free Kittens have had shows at many events including Band Aid 2009, The Carman Fair, Relay for Life, and Morden's Corn & Apple Festival. While playing a lot of cover songs, they have begun to include originals into their sets which are always lively and fun to watch.

Mind Over Matter members have been performing together for two years. Based out of Carman, Manitoba the band features singer Micheal Unrau, rhythm guitarist Angus May, lead guitarist Matthew Stubbs, bassist Colin Hay, and drummer Jeremy Stevenson. They play hard and alternative rock including covers of such bands as Metallica, The Ramones, White Stripes and Green Day. The band also has some original songs in the works. The high school students perform regularly at Carman Collegiate entertainment assemblies. This will be their second Band Aid performance.

Sketchy was formed by members Sky Debreuil (vocals/guitar), Free Debreuil (percussion) and Patrick Hamilton (slappin' the bass). When not turning down massive recording contracts or being transported in diamond-studded limousines, they spend their time playing a blend of alternative rock topped with a healthy dose of "sketchiness" They play sets of both original songs and covers of their favorite bands, a lot of muse.

Talent Whack is: Jake Armstrong and Andrew Murray. They are "the awesome". Specifically they are a cover band from Sanford, Manitoba, Canada, North America, Earth, Sol System, Milky Way Galaxy. We will eventualy write our own music, and we will create the epic genre of Post-Indiepop Nerdcore Electridisco Emobilly Punk Rock Metal of Death.
